The
Gift Planning Council of New Jersey (GPCNJ) is a non-profit
organization created in 1994 to facilitate, coordinate, and
encourage the education and training of the gift planning
community and allied professionals. In order to fulfill these
objectives, the Council hosts seminars, luncheons, conferences
and other activities throughout the year.
| Our
goal is that greater expertise means better communication
with donors and clients and increased support to the
charitable institutions. We strive to: |
|
-
|
promote
gift planning. |
|
-
|
advance
the education and professional expertise of council
members, and |
|
-
|
encourage
networking and support among its members. |

GPCNJ membership includes gift-planning professionals from
a variety of academic, religious, health, cultural, environmental
and social organizations. Consultants and advisors such
as attorneys, accountants, financial and estate planners,
trust administrators and investment and insurance specialists
are also members.
The
solicitation, planning and administration of a charitable
gift is a complex process involving personal, financial,
and tax considerations. As members, we recognize that in
working with donors, we often interact with a mix of professionals
from various disciplines.
Our goal, however, is to structure a gift that achieves
a balance between the interests of the donor and the mission
of the charitable institution (National Committee on Planned
Giving Standards). Because our membership represents the
rich diversity of professionals who are involved in gift
planning at every level, we have many opportunities to network
and discuss our combined working relationships and how we
can improve our communication to better serve our donors/clients.
Our
Council is affiliated with the National Committee on
Planned Giving. For membership information on NCPG,
